Our Story
Welcome to Cultura Life Design!
Hola Chicas y Chicos!
We are Miguel & Beatriz Chanes, and we are thrilled to have you here. Just like you, we have a deep love and appreciation for our Chicano Mexican American culture, and it is our passion to celebrate and embrace it through our artistic creations.
At Cultura Life Design, our mission is to bring our heritage, nationality, and customs to life through intricate wood-etched and laser-engraved graphics and designs. We take pride in creating custom-made collector art pieces that allow you to showcase your family name, important dates, celebrate loved ones, display fun captions and expressions, pay tribute to sports or military branches, and express your religious devotions. These pieces hold great significance for us because they serve as a conduit for passing on stories and sentiments that we hold dear. They serve as a reminder of our past, a celebration of the present, and a commitment to a bright and colorful future, just like our Mexican roots!
We also deeply care about recognizing and honoring our Aztec and Mayan ancestry. Both civilizations are renowned for their agricultural prowess, connection to the land, stunning artistry, and architectural achievements. In line with their legacy, we prioritize taking care of our environment here at Cultura Life Design. We repurpose and reuse wood, ensuring that we minimize waste and contribute to sustainable practices. We have a dedicated filtration system in place to capture the engraving smoke, keeping our workspace clean and eco-friendly. Additionally, we proudly harness the power of solar panels to run our equipment, reducing our carbon footprint and embracing renewable energy.
We are honored to have been featured on Shoutout Arizona and Keep Local Alive, and we are grateful for the wonderful testimonials from our happy customers. We have also been warmly embraced by the local vending community, participating in great events, sponsorships, and development opportunities. These experiences have allowed us to grow and succeed in our vision of bringing Familia and Friends together to share cultural experiences and raise awareness.
To stay connected with us, please follow us on Instagram and Facebook. These platforms will keep you updated on our whereabouts and the markets we attend. Be the first to know about limited edition art pieces and new releases. We also invite you to order custom laser-engraved masterpieces that truly reflect your unique vision. Send us your most creative ideas and illustrations, as we believe that with Cultura Life Design, you are only limited by your imagination!
Thank you for joining us on this journey of celebrating and preserving our Chicano culture. We look forward to creating beautiful pieces that resonate with your heart and soul.
¡Viva la Cultura!

Miguel Chanes, the co-founder of Cultura Life Design, is a talented artist and a dedicated father. From a young age, Miguel had a passion for drawing, which led him to create beautiful murals for kids' rooms and man caves as he grew older. However, his artistic pursuits took a backseat when he joined the Army, leaving little time for drawing.
During the Covid pandemic, Miguel had the opportunity to reflect on his passion and decided to invest in his art once again. He took the leap and purchased his first laser engraver, realizing that he needed to learn quickly. Through self-teaching and leveraging resources like the University of YouTube, Miguel became a skilled engraver and printing software specialist. He continuously strives to learn new techniques and develop his unique artistic style.
Now, as the proud owner of Cultura Life Design, Miguel works alongside his wife, Beatriz Chanes, to bring their vision to life.
